Mi A3 is the latest stock Android phone from Xiaomi, which has been launched, for which all were awaited. The good thing is that the company has announced it at a starting price of Rs.12,999. At the same time, Realme 5 has also come in the Indian market from Realme to take direct competition with Redmi. Both of these smartphones have the same chipset and have been launched in the market with almost the same price.
Are you also confused in both these smartphones, which one is better? So let's do a detailed comparison and know which is better, Mi A3 or Realme 5.
Design And Build Quality
The designs of both Smartphones, Realme 5 and Mi A3 are quite premium. Although the Mi A3 gives you a glass body, Realme 5 has a Polycarbonate body, which comes with a glass finish. Both phones look wise are very attractive.
Designs are better of both, but Realme 5 is also slightly bigger and heavier. The display in Realme 5 is 6.5-inch, and the battery is 5000mAh, due to which the phone feels slightly bulky and thick. Whereas the Mi A3 feels slightly compact and light with a 6.08-inch display.
Realme 5 has volume rockers and the SIM tray on the left side, while the power button is given on the right edge. The bottom edge has a speaker grill, micro USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack.
The Mi A3 has a hybrid SIM tray slot on the left edge, volume rocker and power button on the right side. There are a headphone jack and IR Blaster on the top edge and a Type-C port and speaker grill on the bottom edge. Apart from this, both handsets come with a waterdrop notch. Realme 5 has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the Mi A3 has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Display
The Xiaomi Mi A3 has a 6.08-inch Super AMOLED display, while the Realme 5 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display. Both handsets have been launched here with HD+ resolution. But due to the AMOLED display, the colors on the Mi A3 seem a bit punchy and pleasing, with the brightness being better than the Realme 5.
In Realme 5, the display also comes with very good detailing and colors but seems slightly less than the Mi A3.
Hardware And Software
Both Realme 5 and Mi A3 have the same chipset. Both the smartphones come with 11nm process based Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 CPU, with four kryo 260 cores clock speed 2.0GHz and four Kryo 260 cores speed 1.8GHz. Also here is the Adreno 610 GPU.
The performance of both smartphones is good and you will not have any problem even during moderate usage and gaming. You will not have any problem even in multitasking.
Now, if we talk about software, the Mi A3 comes with stock Android and so are its major advantages and highlights. At the same time, Realme 5 has ColorOS 6.0, which comes with some unused apps, which you can uninstall.
Well, you can keep your choice in Xiaomi's MIUI 10 and Realme's ColorOS, but stock Android is better than both, which you get in Mi A3.
Cameras
It is important to mention here that Realme 5 has four rear cameras, while Mi A3 has triple rear cameras. But from the number of cameras, it cannot be said which camera is better.
The Mi A3 features a 48MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor and f/1.79 aperture, an 8MP secondary camera with 118-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth focusing camera having f/2.4 aperture.
Apart from this, a 32MP selfie camera has also been provided on the front. The Mi A3 has a 48MP prime camera with pixel binning technology, which offers you a 12MP detailed sharper image by combining four pixels into one. At the same time, you get very good portrait shots and amazing selfies.
Realme 5 has 12MP main camera with Sony IMX386 and f/1.8 aperture, 8MP secondary shooter with 118-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor offers better portraits and another 2MP camera for 4cm macro shots. At the same time, this budget handset is fitted with a 13MP selfie shooter f/2.0 aperture on the front.
In both smartphones, in the camera section, Mi A3 is a clear winner, but Realme 5 also takes images with good lighting and clarity.
Battery
Realme 5 has a 5000mAh giant battery, but here you do not get Realme's VOOC 3.0 fast charging. While the Mi A3 has a 4030mAh battery with 18-watt Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support.
Now here you decide whether you need a bigger battery or fast charging support.
